Midsomar Classic

A Fox announcer--whose name I do not care to research--threw out a random fact after New York Mets 1B Pete Alonso (#20) and Diamondbacks OF Corbin Carroll (#7) both smacked homers in the bottom of the 6th inning: that this was the first time the National League had batted two balls out of the park in the same inning of the All-Star Game since 1977. 

And I thought, 'Seriously? How fucking pathetic is that?'

Then came the endgame shenanigans where the National League only won by making up silly new rules. So a 1978 to 2024 drought really isn't all that fucking pathetic.
