Another pet peeve

I'll have to collect these someday...

I absolutely seethe when a TV announcer mischaracterizes the failure to achieve an out on a bag play. The default seems to be to state that a throw is 'not in time'; but more occasions than not this seems an incorrect diagnosis. Rather 'the throw is offline' or 'the ball is mishandled' is clearly the case. 

Bottom line, if the ball reaches the catcher's or baseman's glove while the runner is still running, it's fucking IN TIME.
